6th to 12th grade
Weekly classes
We also offer Spelling Workshops for heritage speakers, young people and adults who grew up speaking Portuguese at home but have not developed their writing skills in Portuguese.
We use active methodologies such as Learning Projects, Inverted Classroom, Maker Movement and Gamification in our classes. in Portuguese with varied content through thematic projects in the areas of science, Brazilian literature, music, arts, history, geography, technology and of course Brazilian culture.
At this stage we give our students more autonomy. We present projects and give students the opportunity to discuss and align individual or group interests. We encourage and train students to research specific topics independently. Students can also suggest themes they want to explore.
We encourage and develop research, planning and presentation skills to generate independence, autonomy and leadership. At this stage we also have mini-lessons on grammar and spelling and we prepare our students for the AAPPL language test (ACTFL Assessment of Performance toward Proficiency in Languages) which is administered by Projeto Brasil and the school districts.
We offer face-to-face, online and private lessons.
For those who weren't born speaking Portuguese
PSL - Portuguese as a Second Language
Weekly classes
This program is specially designed for heritage learners, teenagers who didn’t grow up speaking Portuguese at home but who have a cultural and emotional connection to the language. Classes are taught using both languages, and the use of English helps with the acquisition of Portuguese.
These are dynamic classes that explore everyday topics to promote conversation and vocabulary acquisition that can be used daily at home. Brazilian culture is introduced through stories, music, cuisine, art and traditional games.
For the student’s best development, this program requires the active participation of parents at home. We offer support to parents with weekly suggestions and tips on how to use the vocabulary learned in class at home during the week.
We offer online, hybrid and private classes.

TEEN Volunteering
Volunteering is something that the high school expects of its students. Why not take advantage of this need to offer an opportunity for exposure to and practice of LH?
Our volunteer program is returning with a new look. Teenagers will take part in online training sessions in areas such as leadership, initiative and cooperation to prepare them for the job market.
We are also offering different and flexible opportunities such as events, weekly classes, summer camp, and administrative support for the CBA with flexible hours.
And there’s more! High school students who take part in the training and volunteer for a year will be able to apply for a paid position after a year of volunteering.
