Projeto Brasil
Programs for children
Our educational initiative, Projeto Brasil, offers several
opportunities to create and maintain a cultural and linguistic bond between Portuguese-speaking children and adults. Through weekly private or online classes, participants have the chance to explore and improve the language in an interactive and engaging way, covering activities such as arts, music, dance, STEAM, reading, Brazilian history, grammar games and group work.

Kindergarten to 5th grade
Weekly classes
Our program is not focused on classes IN Portuguese, but on classes IN Portuguese. To this end, we offer a variety of content through thematic projects in the areas of science, Brazilian literature, music, the arts, history, geography, technology and, of course, Brazilian culture.
The program for K – 5th graders continues with the goal of expanding vocabulary and encouraging conversation. We use active methodologies and interdisciplinary projects that encourage students to explore a specific theme with art projects, music, cooking, etc., thus offering numerous opportunities to use new vocabulary.
We also encourage language skills in the areas of oral communication, writing and reading with discussions, presentations, interviews, games, drama and story creation.
We think of the child as a whole. We nurture a love for Brazil and pride in our cultural roots, because we believe that these values are crucial to the formation of a multicultural and bilingual identity.
For those who weren't born speaking Portuguese
PSL - Portuguese as a Second Language
Weekly classes
This program is specially designed for heritage learners, children and teenagers who didn’t grow up speaking Portuguese at home but who have a cultural and emotional connection to the language. Classes are taught using both languages, and the use of English helps with the acquisition of Portuguese.
These are dynamic classes that explore everyday topics to promote conversation and vocabulary acquisition that can be used daily at home. Brazilian culture is introduced through stories, music, cuisine, art and traditional games.
For the student’s best development, this program requires the active participation of parents at home. We offer support to parents with weekly suggestions and tips on how to use the vocabulary learned in class at home during the week.
