UM ARTISTA BRASILEIRO FAZENDO HISTÓRIA, EM AUSTIN
Frederico do Mar, o nosso querido líder da banda Frederico 7, está tendo sua obra homenageada pelo Austin History Center, da Austin Public Library. Muito bonito vermos um artista brasileiro ser reconhecido pela comunidade cultural da cidade de Austin. Cada artista terá seu display e biografia exibidos na galeria da Biblioteca, até dia 30/10 e passa a ter também um folder/biografia viva, dentro do acervo do Austin History Center. O CBA dá os parabéns ao Fred por esta merecida conquista e convida, principalmente os brasileiros aqui residentes, a visitar a exposição.

Celebrando a Língua Nacional: Um Patrimônio que Nos Une
No dia 21 de maio, celebramos o Dia da Língua Nacional, uma data que nos convida a refletir sobre a importância da nossa língua materna e a riqueza cultural que ela carrega. A língua é mais do que um meio de comunicação; é um elemento fundamental da nossa identidade, história e cultura.
Nossa ONG dedicada a promover a cultura brasileira em Austin, tem o orgulho de ser uma ponte viva entre o Brasil e a nossa comunidade local. Nosso trabalho abrange diversas iniciativas que mantêm a chama da cultura brasileira acesa, mesmo longe de casa. Oferecemos aulas de português como língua de herança, garantindo que nossos filhos possam crescer bilíngues e conectados às suas raízes culturais. Nossos programas incluem oficinas culturais, festas folclóricas e celebrativas, como a vibrante Festa Junina, o animado Carnaval, o emocionante Dia das Crianças e a patriótica comemoração do 7 de setembro.
Além disso, contamos com uma pré-escola bilíngue que se dedica a educar nossas crianças tanto em português quanto em inglês, preparando-as para um futuro onde podem transitar entre culturas com facilidade e orgulho.
Nesta data especial, queremos lembrar a todos da importância de valorizar e preservar nossa língua nacional. Ela é um elo que nos conecta ao passado e nos dá força para enfrentar o futuro. Celebrar o Dia da Língua Nacional é reconhecer a beleza e a diversidade do português e tudo o que ele representa.
